Calendar

The Calendar gives you a clear picture of your day or week so you can stay on top of grooms without juggling paper diaries or guesswork.

What you can do here​

  • Switch views – weekly view on iPad/desktop, or day view for mobile (automatically applied).
  • Filter by groomer – see just your own diary or the whole team (only shows if more than one user).
  • Open bookings – click any booking to jump straight to the View Booking screen.
  • Read the status at a glance – colour-coding shows what’s upcoming, in progress, or complete.

How it works​

Views​

  • On iPad and desktop you can choose between day and week views (set your preference in your profile).
  • On mobile, Barkway always loads the day view by default – it keeps the data readable without cramming.

Bookings​

  • Clicking a booking takes you to its View Booking page, where you can start, complete, or manage it.
  • You cannot create or edit bookings directly on the calendar – use the Bookings screen for that.

Opening hours​

  • The calendar automatically fits to your defined opening hours.
  • Time outside your hours is greyed out, so you don’t waste time scanning irrelevant slots.

Status colours​

  • Orange = Upcoming (scheduled)
  • Dark green = In progress
  • Darker green = Completed

Pro tips​

  • Set your preferred calendar view in your profile so it always opens the way you like it.
  • Use the colour coding to check the state of your day at a glance.
  • Mobile users: stick with the day view – it’s streamlined for speed on smaller screens.
